VLAD IVANOV

One of Europe’s great character actors

Vlad Ivanov is an accomplished actor, best known to the UK audiences for his brilliant portrayal of abortionist Dr. Bebe in 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days by Cristian Mungiu (2007), a role which brought him the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor.

He also played the role of Dinu Laurentiu in Child’s Pose by Calin Peter Netzer, which won the Golden Bear at Berlin in February 2013.

Other notable films include Police, Adjective by Corneliu Porumboiu, which won Best Film at Un Certain Regard in the 2009 Cannes Film Festival (and for which Vlad won Best Supporting Actor at the Romanian GOPO Awards); Tales from the Golden Age by Hanno Hofer (2009); The Concert by Radu Mihaileanu (2009), which was nominated for a Golden Globe; Principles of Life by Constantin Popescu (2010); One Floor Bellow by Radu Muntean (2015); Graduation by Cristian Mungiu (2016) and Dogs by Bogdan Mirica (2016).

In addition to his film work, Vlad Ivanov is a prolific stage actor and has received many domestic awards in Romania for his work on both stage and screen.
